Waiver Wire God — Privacy Policy

Waiver Wire God ("WWG", "we", "us") is a fantasy-football intel app. This policy
explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because our
data practices are simple: we collect only what the app needs to work, we don't sell
your data, and we don't use third-party advertising trackers.
What we collect
- Anonymous device ID. On first use we create a random identifier stored on
your device. It carries no name or email and lets us save your settings and connected
teams. No account or login is required to use the app.
- Email address (optional). If you choose to sign in, we send a one-time
"magic link" to your email so your teams sync across devices. We store your email to
recognize your account. We never set or store a password.
- Connected fantasy data. When you connect a league (Sleeper, ESPN, Yahoo, CBS),
we read and store the roster and league information needed to personalize your intel
and briefs. We access these through each platform's authorized method or a read-only
token — we never receive or store your fantasy-platform password.
- Notification token (optional). If you enable notifications, we store the push
token your device provides so we can deliver alerts and your daily brief.
- Usage & diagnostics. Basic feature usage, your feedback (e.g. thumbs on a
brief), and logs of AI generation for cost and abuse monitoring. We do not track you
across other apps or websites.
What we do NOT collect
- No passwords to your fantasy platforms.
- No precise location, health, financial, contacts, photos, or browsing history.
- No advertising identifiers and no cross-app/website tracking.
How we use it
- Personalize your board, briefs, and start/sit and waiver recommendations.
- Deliver the notifications and daily audio brief you opt into.
- Operate, secure, and improve the service (including monitoring AI cost and abuse).
Service providers
We use a small number of processors strictly to run the app. They handle data only to
provide their service to us:
- AI providers (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic) — generate the written and audio briefs
from the relevant player and roster context.
- Email delivery — sends your one-time sign-in link.
- Apple Push Notification service — delivers notifications you enable.
- Hosting (Vercel, Fly.io) — runs the app and stores its data.
The fantasy platforms you connect (Sleeper, ESPN, Yahoo, CBS) are data sources you
authorize; your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share data
only with the service providers above, or if required by law.
Retention & deleting your data
We keep your data while you use the app. You can permanently delete your account and all
associated data at any time, right from the app: Settings → Account → "Delete my
account & data." This erases your connected teams, notification and Yahoo tokens,
and generated content across every device on your account. You can also email us to
request deletion. Backups and logs are purged on a rolling basis.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sensitive tokens (such as Yahoo authorization
tokens) are encrypted at rest. No method is perfectly secure, but we limit what we store
and for how long.
Children
WWG is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we update this policy we'll revise the date above and post the new version here.
